IFL SEASON IV – Semi-Finals & Final



The final match day of IFL season was full of drama, controversy, mystery and twists. Teams started arriving at the venue well before the 4pm kick-off time to soak up the atmosphere of this unique match day which would be the biggest game in the career of some of these players. Months of hard work had gone into reaching the semi-final stage and ultimately the chance to reach the final and lift the trophy to go down in history as only the 4th winner of IFL.

Semi-Final 1: Worcester Park vs Redbridge North

The first semi-final saw Redbridge North take on Worcester Park. Redbridge North, last year’s semi-finalists, had knocked out Worcester Park at the last 16 stage the season and went into the game confident again.

MKA – National Badminton Tournament 2014


Dear Brothers

We would like to inform you about the forthcoming MKA National Badminton Tournament to be held on Saturday 15th February 2014 hosted in the North West Region.

IFL SEASON IV – Quarter-Final


The quarter final matches had it all, lots of quality, controversy and even the odd shock all bundled into one match day.

Mosque vs Jamia was billed as the tie of the round with both teams hot favourites for winning the tournament fighting it out for a place in the semi finals.

By the Grace of Allah, the IFL ‘Last 16′ match day was one to remember. This was the first time in the history of the IFL that this stage of the competition was organised in a way that all 16 teams were playing during the same evening.


The intention behind this was to enable an atmosphere of excitement and brotherhood for every fixture as all the teams were on site to support the other teams during their matches.

National Volleyball Tournament Report/Highlights


The 1st Ever National Volleyball Tournament was held today at the Edge Leisure Centre in Haslemere hosted by Islamabad Region.  The Leisure Centre is 5 minutes’ drive away from Jamia Ahmadiyya UK.

10 teams registered for and took part in the event, these were Majlis Ansarullah, Baitul Futuh, Baitun Noor, Islamabad, Jamia, Masroor, Muqami, North West, South & Tahir Region.

The final round of group games took place on a chilly night with Mosque kicking off in their much anticipated game against Worcester Park with some of the best talent South London has to offer on show – these were 2 teams hoping to go far in this year’s competition.

Mosque took the lead through their predatory striker Muddassar Dogar… managing to get on the end of a deflected shot and finishing with a cool head. Both teams were playing some great football however Mosque took a 2 goal lead through Luqman Dean who also made it 3 nil with a spectacular strike from after a well worked corner and dummy on the edge of the box.

Match Day 7 began with a forfeit as as Cheam failed to turn up for their fixture against reigning champions Hounslow North, which by default gave Hounslow a 5-0 victory to seal their progress to the last 16 as group winners.

Elsewhere West Hill and Peckham played out an entertaining 2-2 draw which meant new kids on the block Peckham and South East secured their position as group runners up and progression to the last 16.

Tooting Bec kicked off match day 6 against a strong Hounslow South A team who had defeated Jamia in the competition earlier. Tooting Bec took the lead through Asad Munir however Hounslow South A equalised in the second half through their captain Fahaad Rehman. Just when it seemed like the game would end in a draw Zeyn Khan scored a dramatic winner with the last kick of the game to secure Tooting Bec’s position in the last 16 and send them joint top of group E alongside Jamia.

Defending champions Hounslow North maintained their 100% record in the competition with a 2-0 win over West Hill. Captain and talisman Hamza Sethi scored the first goal with Faiq Khan also finding the net.

Match day 5 saw Purley defeat Surbiton 5-2. Many would have predicted a tighter affair however Purley were just too strong on the night.

South Morden defeated barking 2-0.
However Barking took out the frustration of the first defeat on Colliers Wood with a 7-1 win.

The days other games saw Shirley defeat Sutton 3-0 while Tooting Bec won 9-0 against our Ansar brothers.
The days surprise result saw Inner Park win 2-1 against Redbridge North in a tight and hotly contested game.
