The final round of group games took place on a chilly night with Mosque kicking off in their much anticipated game against Worcester Park with some of the best talent South London has to offer on show – these were 2 teams hoping to go far in this year’s competition.
Mosque took the lead through their predatory striker Muddassar Dogar… managing to get on the end of a deflected shot and finishing with a cool head. Both teams were playing some great football however Mosque took a 2 goal lead through Luqman Dean who also made it 3 nil with a spectacular strike from after a well worked corner and dummy on the edge of the box.

Inner Park kicked off Match Day 4 against a determined Shirley side, who initially hurried Inner Park while in possession and prevented them from playing. However Inner Park soon found their stride with Sajeel Shah pulling the strings in midfield and local Qaid Mubashar Ahmed finding his range to help Inner Park to a 5-0 win.
Purley kicked off their campaign with a 3-0 win over Lower Morden. Lower Morden lost their captain Musawir Sandhu midway through the game and could not cope with Purley on the night. Purley had former IFL chairman Harris Butt playing for them and he marked his first return to the Tooting Hub with two goals on the night. Clearly Harris Sahib had learned a few tricks in finishing from overseeing last year’s tournament and his joy was clearly visible with his new continental celebration!
